Full Moon Ceremony
The Full Moon Ceremony is an opportunity for women to come together to celebrate, acknowledge, give thank s and honor our relationship with grandmother moon.
It is our grandmother moon that comes to visit women each month to bring cleansing and support to us and to mother earth, through lakes, rivers and oceans, which we are told is the blood of our mother the earth. It is women’s responsibility to honor this relationship, as they are the life carriers.
Women are asked to bring tobacco offerings in red or yellow cloth to be offered to a sacred fire. The teaching on this is given at the ceremony. Women offer up their prayers to grandmother moon, songs are sung, water and berries are prayed over and shared.
